Mrs. Melinda O’Quinn, 47, a resident of Wesson, passed away at her home on January 13, 2015. She was born in Hazlehurst, on August 10, 1967, the daughter of Robert and Mary Hamilton, of Wesson.
Mrs. O’Quinn was a store clerk and a child care worker as well as a substitute teacher. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She loved her church family and her community. She enjoyed painting, jewelry making, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Blanche Pickett and her nephew, Russ Pickett.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Wesson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
Mrs. O’Quinn is survived by her husband, Bill O’Quinn; her parents, Robert and Mary (Parsons) Hamilton; her brother, Keith Hamilton; her sister, Janet Burns and husband Glenn; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Wesson, MS.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, MS.
