“Self-love is the greatest love. Self-love definitions differ from persons to persons. Self-love is fully accepting who you are with your flaws and shortcomings. In today’s life everyone is facing lots of issues whether it is related to health, wealth or career. One of the greatest responsibilities we have is to love ourselves and to know that we are enough! How can you expect to give love to others if you can’t give love to yourself? There is a great saying “Before loving someone learn to love yourself”. There are various aspects of self-love some relate it with self- discipline and some it with some self-esteem. But for me self-love is like self-respect. Self-love is knowing your worth. This is the era known as Kalyug here people will always look at the chance to bring you down or will demoralize you in many ways.

I remember one famous song by Kishore kumar from the film Amar Prem “Kuch to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna”. So, you if you want to cope up this situation loving yourself is the best medicine. We never realize how important it is to love ourselves, until we reach a point when we are about to lose ourselves. The lesson I want others to learn is it doesn’t matter what you look like. You can be tall or short, fat or thin, ugly or handsome or you can be black or white. It doesn’t matter. What does matter is the size of your heart and the strength of your character. A famous dialogue of movie Jab We Met by Kareena Kapoor “MY APNI FAVOURITE HU” is the important mantra to start loving yourself. God has gifted one life and let’s start living our life to the fullest by starting to love our self.

This quarantine has given us the opportunity to know ourselves better. I promised to myself that this period of year is going to be self-healing year by using only one positive mantra of “SELF- LOVE”. Self- love is the happiness coach.

I hope my words may motivate some of you, to show love towards self through one of this enablers.
