With one of America's best bands and state-qualifying orchestras and choirs, Avon High School is the perfect place for me! Being a part of Avon's Performing Arts program has been fantastic. The director, students, and parent involvement have been amazing within the arts programs. Approaching my senior year, I am sad that I will no longer be able to be a part of such an awesome program. Avon also provides clubs for everyone's interests! From pre-law and pre-med to rock climbing club, Avon has it all! Although Avon has awesome programs and opportunities, there are some things I feel could make this school a better overall experience. Furthermore, some violence that has occurred within the school has resulted in some students feeling unsafe or scared in the hallways. Luckily, the school has created several rules and apps to create a safer environment for all students! I am looking forward for Avon to become a better place for future students and staff!

Avon is a great place to live to give your child an excellent education. People move here really for no other reason in my opinion. I moved to Avon with my daughter as a single mom in 2016 to give her a chance at an excellent education and Avon School Corporation did not disappoint. She quickly fit in and found her people and excelled. AHS prepared her well for college and she was accepted into Ball State University in the media department almost immediately. She also participated in the Avon Marching Band, and the Winter Drumline. Let me tell you, what an amazing experience that program was to her growing as a person. She played several different instruments, learned how to be on time, patience, and really, really hard work and commitment. There are so many clubs to participate in, she is pursing media production in college so she joined the TV department at the school and learned every job there is to putting a broadcast together. Downside to Avon...all the fighting. It's bad

I have been at Avon High School all 4 years of high school and there have been many things that have happened throughout my four years. Most of the teachers are nice and genuinely care about students, along with the principal. However, the guidance team was often difficult to get in contact with and don't seem to care about student success in my experience.
