30 Biblical “I AM” Affirmations: Your Royal Identity in Christ (1)

This is part 2 of me creating biblical affirmations for queens! I’m blessed to be alive and to know who I am and why I’m here. I pray with these verses you are affirmed of why, too. I pray with these biblical affirmations, you are given the hope you need to keep pressing into Jesus.

Quick story of how I was inspired to create biblical affirmations. It was around this time 2 years ago on my birthday. I went to dinner with my friends and I chose this restaurant because of the throne they had in the room. It was so beautiful and I can sense that whoever sat in this seat felt like royalty. Looking back at the photos, I was inspired. And so I created a list about who God says you are.

But God specified and revamped that idea. When I was crowned Miss Black New Jersey and was offered the opportunity to visit my homeland of Haiti with Teen Vogue, I was elated. I always knew God called me to minister to girls and women but when I entered those classrooms and saw everyone enthralled with the crown, God gave me a specific mission – to remind His daughters that their crowns have always existed. I created the video and the free printable as a resource for the wait of my first book, Claim Your Crown. It has been such a blessing to see how much these projects have been instrumental to your spiritual journeys.

👑 Claim Your Crown Book! 👑

Even with a crown on our heads, we are not exempt from pain. What many don’t know is that when God gave me that mission and the idea to write Claim Your Crown, I was going through a difficult time in my life. And around this time – during the week of my birthday –I am especially attacked by the enemy where I’m feeling down or anxious.

However, God has been reminding me in several ways to immerse myself in not just what He says about me but what is already done even if I don’t feel it or see it. We are more than conquerors and there is power in how we carry ourselves. There is power in the name we carry.

There is a seat that God has reserved for you at His table, a crown that He is waiting for you to claim. An authority that He called you to walk into. Allow these biblical affirmations to wash over you and declare them over your life every day.

30 Biblical “I AM” Affirmations: Identity in Christ (Who God Says You Are):

1.I am a crown of beauty and a royal diadem in the hand of the Lord.

Isaiah 62:3-4– You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate, but you shall be called My Delight Is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married.

2. I am filled with joy because Christ is my strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 – And Nehemiah continued, “Go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gifts of food with people who have nothing prepared. This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”

3. I am adopted. I am a child of God.

1 John 3:1 See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭“And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.”

4. I am His beloved.

Zephaniah 3:17 – “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

5. I am seen by God.

Genesis 16:13 – Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?”

6. I am holy and blameless.

Colossians 1:22 – Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

7. I am marked by God.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

8. I am treasured.

Deuteronomy 14:2 – You have been set apart as holy to the LORD your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.

9. I am alive in Christ.

Ephesians 2:5 — We were made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.

10. I am God’s Masterpiece.

Ephesians 2:10 — For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

11. I am handpicked.

John 15:16 – You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.

Jeremiah 1:5 – “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apartand appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

12. I am healed.

1 Peter 2:24 — He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.

13. I am not forsaken. I am accepted by Christ.

14. I am secure in Christ.

15. I am no longer a slave to fear.

Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

16. I am a friend of God.

John 15:15 – I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father.

17. I am an heiress of the kingdom.

Romans 8:16-17 – For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ, we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

18. I am made in God’s image.

Genesis 1: 27– So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them;male and female he created them.

19. I am free.

Romans 6:14-18 — Remember this: sin will not conquer you, for God already has! You are not governed by law but governed by the reign of the grace of God.

What are we to do, then? Should we sin to our hearts’ content since there’s no law to condemn us anymore? What a terrible thought! Don’t you realize that grace frees you to choose your own master? But choose carefully, for you surrender yourself to become a servant—bound to the one you choose to obey. If you choose to love sin, it will become your master, and it will own you and reward you with death. But if you choose to love and obey God, he will lead you into perfect righteousness.

And God is pleased with you, for in the past you were servants of sin, but now your obedience is heart deep, and your life is being molded by truth through the teaching you are devoted to. And now you celebrate your freedom from your former master—sin. You’ve left its bondage, and now God’s perfect righteousness holds power over you as his loving servants.

19. I am redeemed.

Ephesians 1:7 – In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

20. I am victorious.

2 Corinthians 2:14 – But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Deuteronomy 20:4– For the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’

1 Corinthians 15:57– But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

21. I am sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Ephesians 1:13- And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation)–when you believed in Christ–you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit.

22. I am gifted.

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.

23. I am seated in heavenly places with Christ.

Ephesians 2:6 “… And he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

24. I am a citizen of heaven.

Philippians 3:20 – But our citizenship is in heaven–and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ…

25. I am one spirit with the Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:17 – But the one united with the Lord is one spirit with him.

26. I am a branch of the one and only vine.

John 15:1,5 – I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me–and I in him–bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing.

27. I am the salt and light of the world. I am a city on a hill and cannot be hidden.

Matthew 5:13-16:

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

28. I am an ambassador for God.

2 Corinthians 5:20 – So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

30. I am His.

Isaiah 43:1 – Israel, the LORD who created you says, “Do not be afraid–I will save you. I have called you by name–you are mine.

Obtaining a physical crown didn’t make me who I am. God used it to remind me of who I already was. And I pray through whatever I push out into the world, you feel the same.

People need to see who you stand for. And they need to know that name is available for them too. You are a daughter of the King.
